In collaboration with Qatar University, with ARRUS as an industry partner, the project: The Doha Syntax, Phase 2: Urban Movement Network Validation of Space Syntax Model of Metropolitan Doha, has received a research grant from Qatar University.
The purpose of the research is to scientifically validate the space syntax model of Metropolitan Doha constructed in Phase 1 (QUSD-CENG-2018/2019-4). Researchers will quantify pedestrian and vehicular flows on a street segment-by-street segment basis as well as the pattern of ground-level land uses and building heights in three (3) well-defined local areas of Doha – Al Rufaa, Old Al Ghanim 16, and Al Sadd 39 – and disseminate the findings to key end-users in industry, research, and the public sector.
